Size: Small 4to. Published by London - Blackie and Son Limited Condition: GOOD. Illustrated throughout by Gordon Browne, including frontispiece. Talwin Morris - was a prolific book designer and decorative artist working in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly known for his Glasgow Style furniture, metalwork and book designs. Condition: In a blue cloth binding with decorative gilt board. Externally generally smart, some bumping. Internally generally firmly bound, but the front hinge is tender. Pages bright and clean throughout save for some foxing to front and rear pages.

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Green cloth, black titles, colour onlay to front cover. Spine slightly bumped. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Evidence of removal of a bookplate to verso of front endpaper. Heavy foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with a small section of loss to top edge of rear panel.

Early edition with these illustrations. Publisher's original grey cloth with wraparound illustration and titles in blue to the spine, in the Edie Morris illustrated dustwrapper. Illustrated with 8 full page black and white illustrations by Lancelot Speed. A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm, the contents with a previous owner's gift inscription in blue ink to the front endpaper are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the rubbed and nicked dustwrapper which is toned to the spine but attractive in condition and design non the less.

Marbled boards half bound in red morocco, raised bands to spine. Spine is very worn, and title is partly missing. Gilt top edges, marbled pastedowns. Internally tight, pages are age tanned. Edges of pages are all edges gilt, which is a little worn especially at top. Gold embossed red cloth covered boards, very lightly rubbed on edges, little faded on spine and gold also faded on spine, gold bright on front.
